I have always wondered about this term but never had anyone fully explain it to me, is this basically putting a lot of money into popular stocks each and everyday, then selling them by close of Business? Is this more profitable than the long term stock purchase?
What are the specifics of Day Trading?

buy and sell usually stock options or futures with the plan of closing your position the same day…………..sometimes long term is better, see Warren Buffett……..but I am not him and you probably not either……..
Pick up a couple of books on investing and if you like it, pick up a couple of books on day trading……..
good luck
You start the day with a bankroll of cash. During the day you try to buy stocks low and sell them high. You sell all of your stocks at the end of the day. Hopefully, you end up with more cash than you started with.
You have to pay a fee to a broker for every transaction you make. So the broker always wins.
